OPEN HOUSE THURSDAY AT LOGAN HEALTH CENTER
The Logan Health Center, which makes available a variety of medical services for James Logan High School students, is inviting the community to an Open House on Thursday (Feb. 7) from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The Health Center, which underwent a summer renovation, is part of the Logan campus at 1800 H St.

Olympic veterans including high jumper Dick Fosbury, long jumper Mike Powell, sprinter Eddie Hart, hurdlers Reynaldo Brown and Andre Phillips, discus champions Wolfgang Schmidt, Rink Babka and Stephanie Brown and javelin thrower Karin Smith will take part Saturday (Feb. 2) in the annual Willie Davenport Olympian Track and Field Clinic at James Logan High School. Conley-Caraballo High School students and staff are holding a holiday food drive, teacher Joshua Straley reports. Donations of non-perishable food items can be made to any room at CCHS, 541 Blanche St., Hayward, and the school will forward all donations to local food banks.
