Punishment

•Community Service-

Those who are convicted of a graffiti- related crime may

be subject to community service such as: scrubbing walls to remove

paint or painting over graffiti.

 

•Fines Exceeding $40,000-

Those who are convicted of a graffiti-related crime may

be subject to paying fines of different amounts. If the felon is a

minor, the parents will be held responsible for any payments that the

city asks for.

 

•Jail Time-

Graffiti is a felony so jail time is an option. A convicted felon can

be sentenced to up to 10 years in jail. That's right 10 years. And

that's no joke!
