James Logan High School graduate Nkosinza Balumbu, former NCAA champion in the triple jump and a contender for the 2012 Olympics, will be among more than three dozen clinicians on hand Saturday (Feb. 13) for the annual Willie Davenport Olympian Track & Field Clinic.

Carl Wilkens' Appearance Postponed

UNION CITY (Friday, Feb. 5, 2010) – Carl Wilkens, the former missionary who was the only American who didn’t leave Rwanda during the 1994 genocide, has postponed his scheduled appearance Monday to speak to students at James Logan High School.

Police Arrest Two Suspects After Pot Brownie Incidents

UNION CITY (Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010) – Union City police, working with the New Haven Unified School District, have arrested two suspects on marijuana charges after five James Logan High School students became ill on campus last week after investing brownies laced with marijuana.

Logan Administrators Assist as Police Investigate `Brownie' Incidents

UNION CITY (Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010) – Administrators at James Logan High School are assisting the Union City Police Department’s investigation after five students became ill on campus last week, having ingested brownies or other baked goods apparently laced with ingredients that caused the students to become under the influence and/or sick.
